Serbian authorities have accused Thaci of committing war crimes.

"If Thaci comes to Belgrade the police will act in accordance with the law and bring him to justice," Stefanovic told reporters on Thursday after his meeting with visiting EU Commissioner Christ Stylianides.

On Wednesday, Thaci's deputy Petrit Selimi confirmed for the Beta agency that an NGO had invited Thaci to take part in a gathering in Belgrade on April 24, and that it was "the task of Serbian authorities to guarantee his safe stay."
