He specified that the detention ordered today will be in force through August 26.
"The reasons for continued detention are absolutely the same as in the previous decisions, the judge ignores the guarantees provided by the government of the Republic of Serbia, and claims what has not been true from the beginning, that Mr. Ivanović could escape if released, or influence witnesses," said Vlajić.
He added that he would most likely appeal against the decision during the day. The appeal is filed with the Appellate Court in Priština.
On January 27, Ivanović was questioned as a suspect in connection to two criminal offenses committed in 1999 and 2000. Afterwards, an EULEX prosecutor ordered him placed in custody.
Ivanović's lawyer said at the time that the charges against his client "did not make sense" and that the case was "politically motivated."
He was arrested on suspicion of involvement in an alleged war crime in 1999 and post-war incidents in 2000, including an aggravated murder, and for inciting to ethnically motivated murder.
And this suspicion is based on a testimony of an Albanian who is notorious for lying and not telling the truth in public, some of his previous claims and lies during the Kosovo war have been been proven wrong.

More Serbian Troll propaganda, Eulex has not released any information as to what evidence it has and where it came from.
Considering the fact that the arrest removed him from the elections that he was poised to win against the Serb govt chosen candidate. Anyone who does not believe the two are related should not be crossing streets without someone holding their hand.

EULEX needs to give the albanians more time to fabricate credible evidence because it still has none. Ivanovic should sue EULEX for false imprisonment and takes the case to the European Court of Justice.

It is not Albanians, but its Serbian government that wants Oli eliminated. Oli was huge supporter of Kosova Government and actually Thaci's supporter.

What an idiotic statement. Ivanovic is being held by the request of international prosecutors (EULEX) to international judges (again EULEX) None of the Kosovo or more specifically Albanian prosecutors, investigators or judges are involved in his detention.
Now how long was the millionaire businessman who supported the DS held in detention before ever being charged with a crime by the SNS installed judicial system????? At least as long as Ivanovic.
