"Laws on government and ministries need changing, because the coalition thinks a smaller government would be more efficient. The new, changed law would have to be in line with such a goal. The government could be formed and ministers appointed only after the law is adopted. This part of the work could be done in the next two to three weeks," Đukić-Dejanović told daily Blic.
“The first visible step is to constitute the parliament, which could happen in the next seven to ten days,” she noted, adding that it was very important to quickly form the administrative committee.
“The changes to the law on government and ministries must follow certain personnel changes in depth and the whole job should be done in August at the latest, so the government would be functional by September 1,” the SPS official was quoted as saying.
According to Đukić-Dejanović, the names of the members of the next government could by known to the parliament in two to three weeks, while the cabinet would be formed in August.
“There are ongoing negotiations with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) about the structure, goals and content of the government's work, and the same type of meeting could be held with the United Regions of Serbia on Saturday,” she explained.
“The most difficult issues for the next government are the economic situation and Kosovo,” she remarked, adding that any government would have faced those, but that she believed the one led by SPS leader Ivica Dačić could solve them.
Commenting on cooperation on a local level, she said it should be done according to agreements between local officials, because the issues there were different from those on the national level.
The government will be small and efficient. In this moment, Serbia needs such government. Serbian Progressive Party will be the backbone of the government. The Socialists, party and URS (United Regions of Serbia) will have significant power in the government.

Encouraging that the government will be smaller and the costs of such a government would be substantially reduced in this difficult economy.

Since the government has a legal obligation to supply jobs to anybody employed in the redundant ministries, and of course, are going to reward their supporters with jobs and positions, this is a purely cosmetic move and won't save the taxpayer one dinar.

Serbia's great leader Slobo is gone his hand picked successor Ivica will be the "great supreme leader". I shudder at what Serbia will be like and turn in too with a communist-fascist chetnik alliance poor Serbia. Like the saying goes you get the leaders you deserve especially what Serbia did to the region and still insists to live off the criminality likes not seen since WW2.

'Hope SNS can clean corruption with SPS in power!'
How do you expect this to happen considering SNS has handed power to SPS?
And how do you expect SNS with Karic as its sponsor and Ilic as a key part, to be against corruption?
These mysterious SNS supporters are flying into and out of the forum these days just to make political statements of support, but to avoid answering any tough questions...
Its not fooling anybody.

SPS is corrupt, i hope SNS can prevent a maffia takeover of Serbia. Dont forget who robbed us under Tadic rule. SPS gets all power and rewards URS for supporting their criminal enterprise. Hope SNS can clean corruption with SPS in power!

Or more precisely she means that Dacic should take over the PM job, Minister of Interior, Foreign Minister, Minister of Health etc etc etc

That won't make the government smaller unless he goes on a diet!

“The most difficult issues for the next government are the economic situation and Kosovo,”
No plans to tackle the endemic corruption in the public sector then. One of the most important and talked about issues for the general public.
