Sentences confirmed for Đinđić murderers
The Serbian Supreme Court confirmed sentences for nine persons convicted for the 2003 assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić.

The Serbian Supreme Court confirmed sentences for nine persons convicted for the 2003 assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic. At the same time, three others saw their sentences decreased. Sentences confirmed for Djindjic murderers The court confirmed sentences of 40 years for Milorad Ulemek and Zvezdan Jovanovic, and 35 years for Aleksandar Simovic, Ninoslav Konstantivnovic and Vladimir Milisavljevic. The Supreme Court lowered sentences for Sretko Kalinic from 35 to 30 years, and 30 to 20 years for Dusan Krsmanovic, while Zeljko Tojaga had his sentence decreased from 30 to 15 years. Supreme Court spokeswoman Vesna Dabic said that the verdict for that case is explained in 107 pages, and it will be given to the Belgrade District Court today, adding that it will then be forwarded to the prosecution, those convicted of the crime and their attorneys. Dabic said that Ulemek and Jovanovic, who received maximum sentences, have the right to third degree appeal procedures. The spokeswoman also stated that they have a deadline of 15 days to file fresh appeals, after which the Supreme Court will be meeting to deliberate the case.
