On Wednesday, Trump urged Russia to withdraw from Venezuela and stressed that, in order to achieve that goal, "all options were open," Reuters reported.
Konstantin Kosachev, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the upper house of the Russian Parliament, the Federation Council, said that the best way for the United States to show Russia how to leave Venezuela was to lead by example and to itself withdraw from the country.
He also assessed that Trump was trying to "insolently interfere in relations between two sovereign states."
@fred,
I'm not sure that the will of the people isn't with maduro... its much harder to maintain power against the will of the people that it seems.
assad had the will of the people though some aggressive nations thought otherwise, but like everywhere there are those who are unhappy. libya was no different, except lybia didn't bring in support and quaddafi was summarily executed without trial or judgement. (that is what america calls democracy -- their word is final without proof, or a trial, just hearsay and opinion, kinda like now). oh and lets not forget western theivery of upwards of $12Billion based upon opinions alone. no proof, no trial.
maduro had won the people's will in april while guaido wasn't even courteous enough to put himself on the ballot. guaido has the will of america, maduro does seem to have lost the will of the people.
and unlike your kosovo comparison, russia was not invited but that leadership, nor its nato stewards. however in syria, they were and we all see what's happening there? america is using its "good rebels" to continue to destabilize syria, as they are in venezuala, as they did in guatemala, as they did in chile, as the did in libya.
so, maybe...
we'll see what the will of the people is. i think its way too soon to start imposing your opinion on what the people's will is (as it is to soon to impose mine).
what is sure is that we are both reading the words of liars who want to make money pedaling their stories, true or not.

"The reality is, that, Russia, by effectively landing their equipment and personnel on Venezuelan soil, the chess game has changed."
Like when the Russian troops took over Pristina airport. Soon enough they realized they had no place there, picked up and left. For how long, the Russians will prop up Maduro against the will of people, remains to be seen.

the US could leave Kosovo too, it would be nice and it would allow Serbia to take back what's belong to it. The USA are too much engaged in the world.

Maduro is a communist. I hope that USA act about it. Madura have to leave Venezuela. Brazil will help our Venezuelans brothers.

The reality is, that, Russia, by effectively landing their equipment and personnel on Venezuelan soil, the chess game has changed. First, they will not leave, as they were invited, by the legitimate government. Second, any attempt to create a crisis, provocation, or attack on said nation now, or a strike on said equipment and personnel, would be met with a robust response.

How much are you willing to bet on that one? The US of Piss and Wind will do nothing at all just like in Syria LOL. Washington needs to find a small unarmed country and beat them up, but it ain't Venezuela sweetie.

I'd really like to hear China's opinion on Venezuela! I understand that Western Greed, in particular the US's, of robbing countries of their resources, but at what point will the world step in and say "enough is enough". The US needs to understand that there are new powers in the world that weren't here just 10 years ago. I think if Russia and China are on the same page, which I think they are, I'm not sure that the US can throw their will around the world like they have in the past. With Italy recently telling the US and EU to eat dirt with respect the Chinese Belt and Road initiative, I think we're seeing some changes - by the way, France is ready to jump in along with Luxembourg. UK Brexit is in shambles, and Chinese influence is growing exponentially in Europe. Damn geopolitics... it'll be interesting going forward - fo shu...

What options are they? Its the usual US of Piss and Wind BS. I am very tired of reading over and over again in every incident "all options are on the table" and yet its all hot air. Its time to put your money where your mouth is Washington windbags and show the Russians your might and power.
Oh that would have been in the 1990s not in 2019. Yeah they are having a few financial issues to the point that their new Defense Secretary, a former Boeing man, is ordering initially 8 military aircraft first flown in the early 1980s, but refitted then intends to order another 200 to fill the gap left by F35, the flying anvil.
