Priština accused of training rebels for "armed resistance"

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told the Russia 24 TV outlet that he had information that a Syrian opposition group had sent "people to train in Kosovo". Assad added that he believes in the veracity of this information. Pristina accused of training rebels for "armed resistance" "I do not know if it is about fighters or not, but we have information that an opposition group traveled to Kosovo to gain experience in organizing armed resistance and to attract the intervention of NATO," said Assad. Earlier this week, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin warned that Kosovo had become a military training ground for insurgents, including those from Syria, and warned of the danger that this could represent as a destabilizing factor in the Balkans and beyond.
