Independent Liberal Party (SLS) leader Slobodan Petrovic says his party is willing to form a ruling coalition with Hashim Thaci's Democratic Party of Kosovo. "The good experience we had with the ruling parties during the last term will help us make the decision to be part of the Kosovo government once again. What is important and clear for the SLS is our determination to support the political principles based in European values," Petrovic said in an interview with BBCAlbanian.com. Serb party wants to join Thaci The mandate of the SLS, Petrovic noted, "is to represent and articulate the problems of the Serb community and everyone else living in Kosovo," adding he believed the party had "plenty of reasons to agree to be part of the future Kosovo government." The final election results have not been published, but the SLS expects at least nine seats in the Kosovo parliament. Petrovic believes that other Serb representatives and MPs of other communities will join the SLS parliamentary group, which could then have as many as 15 MPs. Commenting of the Council of Europe rapporteur Dick Marty's report on trafficking in organs of Kosovo Serbs, he said it contained some grave charges. "These are serious accusations, but in this case we need to work on the principle that everyone is innocent until proven otherwise," the SLS leader stressed. A polling station in Kosovo (FoNet)
