Rasim Ljajic has confirmed that part of the information Ratko Mladic submitted for his ID card application has been lost. The president of the National Council for Hague Cooperation told Radio B92 that in 1999, Mladic submitted an application form for an ID card in Serbia, whose citizenship he had earlier been granted, but that part of the documentation, including the Hague fugitive’s fingerprints, had disappeared. Ljajic: Mladic fingerprints missing Stating that this should not have come out in public, Ljajic said that an investigation was under way into the lost documentation. Daily Blic writes that the fingerprint is vital in order to prove whether he, like Radovan Karadzic and Stojan Zupljanin before him, is using an assumed identity and documents in another name. Blic states that this revelation has infuriated the new security services boss, Sasa Vukadinovic, on whose arrival it was ascertained that information was leaking out and reaching Mladic himself.
