Scheffer would like to see Serbia in NATO
Russian president Vladimir Putin also spoke at the conference yesterday, emphasizing once again his country’s opposition to any solution unacceptable to both sides in the Kosovo status dispute between Belgrade and Priština.Today, the gathering will hear speeches by U.S. defence secretary Robert Gates and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ivanov.
Gates is expected to dedicate his speech to Putin’s criticism of the U.S. foreign policy the conference heard yesterday.
