Serbia ranks 54th in "press freedom" survey

Serbia is ranked 54th out of 180 countries in terms of press freedom in 2014, according to a Reporters without Borders survey.

Serbia ranks 54th in "press freedom" survey

Reporters without Borders said that Finland took the first place for the fourth year in a row, followed by the Netherlands and Norway.

Turkmenistan, North Korea and Eritrea were at the bottom of the rankings once again, described in the report as having virtually no press freedom.

The worst ranked member of the EU is Bulgaria, while Croatia, as the country that joined the EU most recently, is the 65th.

The index covers 180 countries this year.
