BRUSSELS Brussels is concerned over the announced replacement of National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Dejan Soskic, Tanjug has learned at the seat of the EU. The EU is observing the situation in connection to the announced amendments to the law on the NBS and the governor's removal and it could be said that it is concerned, a European Commission official who wished to remain anonymous told Tanjug. EU "concerned" over possible sacking of Soskic He said the commission would react officially and very strongly if the Serbian parliament adopted on Thursday the amendments to the law on the NBS the government had proposed. The changes to the law allow the parliamentary majority to remove and appoint NBS governors and vice governors directly.
