Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic says allegations about "proteges" in the swine flue vaccine procurement are “an artificially created scandal”. Radisavljevic added that health minister’s advisor for the fight against corruption Ljubisa Milanovic, who publicly complained about the lack of support from the Organized Crime Prosecution, had not addressed the prosecution with any relevant information thus far. “He has not submitted any report, application, written or oral information, data, evidence, documents, analysis, or any other document pointing to corruption in health care, to illegal or at least questionable activities in the sector, which could enable us to take further action,” the organized crime prosecutor pointed out. The prosecutor added that nobody had the right to ask from him to charge anybody with anything without providing sufficient evidence, “particularly not those who should themselves reveal and secure the evidence.” Health Minister Zoran Stankovic said Thursday that he had accepted Milanovic's decision to resign from his position in the Health Ministry, adding that he had signed the order for Milanovic's dismissal.
