The report will be handed to European Commission Vice President Jacques Barrot. MUP to submit report to Brussels Friday “The report will inform the European Commission that we have virtually met all the criteria from the road map, that we expect to continue the EU procedure, and that a decision will be adopted by December 1 to put Serbian citizens on the positive Schengen list,” MUP’s head of international cooperation and European integration, Drazen Maravic, told daily Vecernje Novosti. The conditions set by the European Commission pertain to effective surveillance of the administrative line with Kosovo, cooperation with EULEX, and control of documents of citizens from Kosovo applying for biometric passports, since the southern province is, for security reasons, currently excluded from the visa liberalization process. "Brussels is supporting Serbia’s efforts and believes that Belgrade is on track to finish what it being sought from it for Serbian citizens to be put on the Schengen white list by January 1, 2010," Maravic said.
