Infrastructure Minister Milutin Mrkonjic visited former Serbian and Yugoslav President and Socialist Party of Serbia leader Slobodan Milosevic’s grave today. Former Montenegrin President Momir Bulatovic also came to Pozarevac to pay his respects. Infrastructure minister visits Milosevic’s grave Mrkonjic is the only high SPS official who visited the grave of the former president who died from a heart attack six years ago at the Hague Tribunal detention unit. He told reporters that he had come as a friend and not as an SPS official. “It’s not like I’m going to ask my coalition partners if I may visit my friend’s grave,” the infrastructure minister pointed out. He stated that the SPS had always been a state-building party and that it still was. “Everybody from the SPS top is on their job. (Interior Minister) Ivica Dacic is in Turkey, (Parliament Speaker) Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic is presiding over parliament, (Education Minister) Zarko Obradovic is talking to the Croatian minister. So, there is no need to make any speculations about it,” Mrkonjic pointed out. Bulatovic came together with a group of Milosevic’s followers from Montenegro. Mrkonjić is the only high SPS official who visited the grave of the former president who died from a heart attack six years ago at the Hague Tribunal detention unit.

He told reporters that he had come as a friend and not as an SPS official.

He stated that the SPS had always been a state-building party and that it still was.
