PRIŠTINA -- The Kosovo assembly has approved by a majority vote a composition called "Europe" by Mehdi Mendiqi, a tune with no lyrics, as Kosovo's national anthem.
At a special session of the Kosovo parliament, 72 MPs voted in favor of the selected composition, while fifteen voted against, and five abstained.
According to the Ahtisaari Plan, "all symbols must reflect the multi-ethnic character of Kosovo".
