Serbia's War Crimes Prosecution took over the case files of Aco Tomic and four other former officers. They are suspected of helping hide Hague Tribunal fugitive Ratko Mladic. War Crimes Prosecution takes over Tomic case This was confirmed in Belgrade on Monday by Deputy Prosecutor Bruno Vekaric told Tanjug on Monday. Vekaric said that the prosecution will decide whether they will request an investigation in that case after they have reviewed the documents. He said that the case was taken over after talks with the public prosecutor of Serbia. After the amendments to the Law on the organization and jurisdiction of processing criminal war crime acts, the so-called law on the helpers, the War Crimes Prosecution obtained jurisdiction over the prosecution of the offenders.
