BUJANOVAC Serbia's Regional Development and Local Self-Government Verica Kalanovic said Friday that the government would reduce the number of undeveloped municipalities. "We must reduce the present number of 40 undeveloped municipalities through efficient measures," Kalanovic said at a conference entitled Resources and potentials of Bujanovac - the future of southern Serbia. “Govt. to reduce number of undeveloped municipalities” "We will do this through a program of incentives," said the minister, noting that the construction of Corridor X was a development opportunity for the country's undeveloped south, as the future highway would attract investors and thus help create jobs. Head of the Office for Local Economic Development Fazila Azemovic said the Bujanovac industrial zone had 32 mineral water springs, tremendous forest resources, developmental potentials and a workforce of 30,000.
