Serbian President Boris Tadic spoke to NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Wednesday about the incidents in Kosovo, B92 has learned. The president requested from the NATO chief to investigate the entire incident and why KFOR had fired at the Serbs. Tadic confers with NATO chief about northern Kosovo KFOR removed barricades from the alternative road leading from Jarinje to central Serbia on Tuesday morning. Local Serbs threw rocks at KFOR troops who in response fired at the protesters and threw flash bombs and tear gas. At least seven Serbs sustained gun shot wounds. Serbian Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanovic requested on Wednesday that special NATO commission probe the incident at the Jarinje administrative crossing. He said that “KFOR fired directly at the crowd of people and there is no dilemma” and that yesterday’s events required a special NATO investigation. Ivanovic pointed out that he would not allow anyone to cover up the incident.
