Montenegrin police say they seized 100 kilograms of skunk (high concentration cannabis) and arrested 12 suspects. Police said that the several-month-long operation ended in the cutting off of shipments of skunk in Podgorica, Niksic and Herceg Novi. Montenegrin police seize 100 kg of skunk The 12 persons remanded in custody are suspected of belonging to a crime group that was involved in smuggling the drugs from Albania, through Montenegro to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Police believe that the group was led by Albanian national identified as S.P., and Lj.D. from Niksic, northern Montenegro, who are both in custody in the prison in Spuz. Police said that the drugs coming from Albanian were packed into 100 nylon, air-tight bags, stuffed into five sacks, which were confiscated in the settlement of Tuzi near Podgorica on February 6. The suspects will be handed over to the Podgorica High Court’s investigative judge.

The 12 persons remanded in custody are suspected of belonging to a crime group that was involved in smuggling the drugs from Albania, through Montenegro to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Police believe that the group was led by Albanian national identified as S.P., and Lj.D. from Nikšić, northern Montenegro, who are both in custody in the prison in Spuž.

Police said that the drugs coming from Albanian were packed into 100 nylon, air-tight bags, stuffed into five sacks, which were confiscated in the settlement of Tuzi near Podgorica on February 6.

The suspects will be handed over to the Podgorica High Court’s investigative judge.
