President of the opposition DSS Vojislav Kostunica criticized today a proposal to adopt two resolution about war crimes in Srebrenica. The former Serbian prime minister for two terms stated that “innocent victims were differentiated between that way”. DSS leader criticizes resolutions “It is hard to imagine a bigger injustice than to discriminate innocent victims. People’s moral obligation is to pay equal respects to all of them,“ he stated. Kostunica added that it was in Serbia’s interest to solve and condemn all war crimes committed in the recent history of Yugoslavia where according to him the Serb people were the greatest victim. “Since Serbia is the first when it comes to the number of victims, it is natural to be the first to condemn all crimes. We think that it would be best if parliament adopted the DSS declaration which was submitted in June 2005,” he said. Kostunica also pointed out that this declaration envisioned that no distinction must be made when condemning crimes based on a location where they took place or religion and ethnicity of the victims.
