“Greater Serbia idea still alive"
Biserko said Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica and the Serbian Orthodox Church were “the main generators and promoters of the Greater Serbia idea,” and that Serbian President Boris Tadić “is at this moment more involved in the partition of Kosovo.”“Serbia was defeated, but the ideology of the Serbian nationalist movement still has the illusion that all Serbian territories will be united. This story became active as the Kosovo status question began to unfold,” Biserko said.
She said that the unification of Bosnia-Herzegovina is only supported declaratively under pressure from the international community, but that “when Kosovo was put on the agenda, Milorad Dodik and the Republic of Srpska began to threaten with an independence referendum if Kosovo becomes independent.”
