DAMASCUS At least 13 people died on Tuesday and 70 more were injured in an explosion in a central district of the Syrian capital Damascus. This was reported by the country's state television. 13 dead, scores injured in new attack in Damascus The explosion took place near the Interior Ministry building, and came only a day after the convoy of Prime Minister Wael al-Halki was targeted. The Syrian state television also said that of the 70 injured, several people are in a critical condition. Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least nine civilians and three members of security forces had been killed.
