A group of Belgrade University students who constructed the first public solar-powered cell phone charger, has won European Commission renewable energy contest. The award-winning project has been exhibited in front of the European Parliament (EP) headquarters in Brussels. Serbian students’ project wins EC award Electrical Engineering student Milos Milisavljevic has explained that the solar cell phone charger that he and his friends invented, was declared the best project “in the reduction of public energy consumption category”. He said that the public solar-powered cell phone charger was tree-shaped with benches around it and a stainless steel awning that has a solar panel attached to it. Electrical Engineering student Miloš Milisavljević has explained that the solar cell phone charger that he and his friends invented, was declared the best project “in the reduction of public energy consumption category”.

He said that the public solar-powered cell phone charger was tree-shaped with benches around it and a stainless steel awning that has a solar panel attached to it.
