Milos Krasic was presented with the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) Golden Ball award as the best Serbian player in 2009. The New Year's cocktail party at the FSS saw the Serbian national side and CSKA Moscow winger awarded for his outstanding performance in the national team during the qualifications for the World Cup. Krasic crowned Serbia's footballer of year “This is a great day of my life and maybe the greatest day of my career. My dream to be among the best has come true, but I would not be awarded if there were not for my teammates,” Krasic said. The award was presented by FSS President Tomislav Karadzic, who describe Krasic as "the blue whirlwind". The winger was the only member of the Serbian national squad who played in all ten World Cup qualifying matches. Serbia qualified directly to the top football competition to be held in South Africa next summer. The Kosovska Mitrovica-born footballer began his professional career in Vojvodina Novi Sad FC, to move to CSKA Moscow in 2004. The media are currently speculating that Krasic could leave Russia during the January transfer window in Europe to join another big club. Karadzic, Krasic are seen during today's ceremony (Beta)
