The weather conditions in Serbia have improved this Saturday after heavy snowfall paralyzed much of the country yesterday. However, new snow and low temperatures are expected again in the coming days. Roads cleared, more snow expected 212 traffic accidents were reported in the past 24 hours, with 36 persons injured. MUP officials have told B92 that they mull setting up a special team to monitor the situation in the field and deal with the crisis should the weather conditions persist. Yesterday, vehicles were stranded for 12 hours as the snow blocked the Belgrade-Nis section of the Corridor 10 highway. While this highway has been cleared, most category two and three roads are still seeing traffic take place under aggravated conditions, with the Negotin District experiencing strong winds that are creating snowdrifts on local roads near Negotin, Kladovo and Klokocevac. The Zajecar-Negotin road has been closed during the night, but is once again open for traffic this morning, although the snowdrifts there occasionally reach one meter in height. While this highway has been cleared, most category two and three roads are still seeing traffic take place under aggravated conditions, with the Negotin District experiencing strong winds that are creating snowdrifts on local roads near Negotin, Kladovo and Klokočevac.

The Zaječar-Negotin road has been closed during the night, but is once again open for traffic this morning, although the snowdrifts there occasionally reach one meter in height.
