New Serbia (NS) party representatives on Sunday visited the internally displaced persons from Kosovo in a camp in Ada Ciganlija, Belgrade. They distributed holiday gifts to the children now residing there. NS in holiday gifts to Kosovo IDPs "We wish that our friends and compatriots from Kosovo and Metohija spend Christmas and New Year holidays in good health, joy, and hope for a better tomorrow," NS spokeswoman Dubravka Filipovski said. "Neither can Serbia give up Kosovo and Metohija, nor can people from Kosovo who live here give up hope that they will return to their homes," she continued. "This year will be very difficult, we have a long diplomatic activity ahead of us – to convince that part of the international community that has recognized Kosovo that only negotiations and compromise can be a sustainable and just solution for peace and stability in Kosovo and Metohija." "We are witnesses to frequent attacks and incidents in the southern Serbian province," Filipovski said, and added that "the reaction of the state of Serbia must be strong – we must seek international community's efficiency, not to idly stand by as these events and attacks take place in Kosovo and Metohija, but to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice".
