Dayton Peace Agreement signed 20 years ago

The document, which confirmed the peace agreement reached in Dayton, Ohio on November 21, "was made under the influence or pressure of the international community, and ended the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina (1992-1995)," Tanjug reported on Monday.

The agreement established Bosnia's two entities - the Serb republic (Republika Srpska, RS) and the Muslim-Croat Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina (FBiH).

The RS covers 49 percent of the total territory of Bosnia, and the FBiH 51 percent.
