The absence of Serbian representatives at the Croatia Summit "is due to the process of forming the new government in Serbia not having been finished yet". This is according to Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic. Croat FM: Serbia absent due to govt. forming process "This year we have a somewhat different situation, because Croatia sent the invitation to Serbia and everyone else at the same time, but that was before the elections in Serbia and during the term of the country's former government," she said on Friday. In the meantime, Serbia has entered the process of forming its new government and since it has not yet been finalized, it can be said that no one from Serbia will be there for the clear and objective organizational reasons, Pusic told Croatian Radio-Television (HRT), refusing to give any further comment on the absence of Serbia's representatives. There is "speculation", reports Tanjug, that the actual reason for the absence of representatives from Serbia is the presence at the gathering of Prime Minister of the government in Pristina Hashim Thaci. The summit will also be attended NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Philip Gordon and EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule. The event, hosting prime ministers, foreign ministers and other distinguished guests and representatives of prominent think tanks from across Europe, North America and Mediterranean countries - “Croatia Summit 2012 - State Building and the EU Experience”, is taking place in Dubrovnik, on July 6-7, 2012. It will be opened by Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic. Tanjug
