Relations with Serbia are improving and Montenegro will soon propose an ambassador to Serbia, says Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. In talks with the OSCE envoy to Podgorica Paraskeva Badescu, Djukanovic highlighted intensive and high-quality cooperation with all the countries in the Western Balkans, the Montenegrin government stated. It was stated that Badescu had “congratulated Djukanovic on the democratic electoral process, the formation of his new cabinet and the government’s manifesto priorities, and particularly the results Montenegro has achieved in reforms on the path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.“ She singled out Podgorica’s contribution to regional cooperation and good neighborly relations, adding that Montenegro was a factor of stability in the region. Expressing her gratitude for the thus far successful cooperation with the local OSCE office, Djukanovic said that the new government’s main aim was to enhance the standard of living, which, he said, would materialize with the achievement of the country’s strategic goals: NATO and EU membership.
