Nearly three million citizens are eligible to vote in today's local ballot being held in Bosnia-Herzegovina. They will choose between 29,000 candidates from 80 parties, 41 coalitions and 239 independents that are taking part in the election, reports say. Local elections underway in Bosnia The campaign ahead of the vote was marked by accusations and insults, while parties once again stressed messages of protection of national interests instead of focusing on their local development manifestos. Only one percent of all campaign messages, it has been determined, contained concrete solution for the municipalities' everyday problems. Bosnia is made up of two entities: the Muslim-Croat Federation and the Serb Republic of Srpska (RS).
