Seselj was not present at the RIK premises today, but his son Aleksandar was. The commission should now determine whether the signatures are valid, and confirm Seselj as a candidate.

Damjanovic told reporters that he does not expect the April 2 voting to produce a winner in the first round, while Seselj and Aleksandar Vucic will have "a serious duel" in the runoff.

According to him, Seselj is the only "worthy opponent of pro-EU candidates Vucic, Sasa Jankovic, and Vuk Jeremic."

The first candidate whose bid was confirmed by the RIK was Vucic, who submitted over 56,000 signatures.

Jankovic, who collected over 17,000 signatures, on Sunday become the second confirmed candidate.
