"Vucic lost credibility and legitimacy to form government"
"Everyone except him knew this could not have played out without the approval of the Belgrade mayor and without the assistance of the police. It is surprising that the prime minister is finding excuses and trying to recognize good intentions even in these serious criminal acts," Bozovic said in a written statement carried by Beta agency.During a news conference earlier in the day, Vucic said that "top city organs" in Belgrade were behind the demolition, but noted that he believed there was no criminal intent on their part.
"This means that (Belgrade Mayor) Sinisa Mali must be held responsible before justice organs for this criminal act, that (Interior Minister) Nebojsa Stefanovic must be sacked, while Vucic himself, after his admission that top state officials took part in this crime, must give up on his mandate to form a new government - considering it turned out he has neither the credibility nor the legitimacy to put it together," Bozovic said, adding that "everything else amounts to empty talk," and urging citizens to join a protest planned in front of the Belgrade Assembly for Saturday.
