Nikolic agrees to postpone Sarajevo visit for fall
Nikolic and Izetbegovic "discussed bilateral cooperation, the forthcoming meeting in Sarajevo and challenges facing the region, above all the migrant crisis."The Serbian president wished every success to Izetbegovic who will soon take over as the chair of the presidency, and "expressed satisfaction over their meeting within the framework of the Brdo-Brioni process in May."
"This is an opportunity for the countries of the region to discuss various challenges that can be solved by joint efforts", said Nikolic.
Speaking about the refugee crisis that has shaken the region, Nikolic stressed that the European Union is being put to a big test, and expressed his doubt that a solution will be found that will be "fair to all countries affected by the crisis."
"When the water is muddy, it should be purified at the source, not at the confluence," he has been quoted as saying.
Izetbegovic "expressed his commitment to good neighborly relations between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and also his concern over a new wave of refugees which is expected in the spring."
