It was stated that the delay was in order to collect the necessary documentation required to define joint projects."The visit to Srebrenica has been postponed for a few days due to technical reasons so that the team of engineers who will work on projects to build a kindergarten, the destroyed bridge on Lake Perucac with access roads, reconstruct the main road in Srebrenica, as well as production halls in the industrial zone, can gather all the necessary documentation required to fully define the projects," stated the ministry.
"When all the necessary data, relevant comparative projects from Serbia, and the like are collected, the team of engineers will be ready to arrange the details," it was also said.
Media reports said that the office of Mayor of Srebrenica Camil Durakovic today announced that the Serbian government delegation with Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic at the helm canceled the visit planned for Friday, and that a new date would be determined later.
Durakovic's cabinet later said that an operative team of the Serbian government would arrive in Srebrenica, but not the delegation led by Mihajlovic.
During a visit to Srebrenica, as stated, the delegation of the Serbian government and representatives of the municipality of Srebrenica were supposed to define in detail the projects that the Serbian government will finance this year in the area of the Srebrenica municipality.
The government of Serbia on November 11, 2015 passed a conclusion on providing financial assistance to the municipality of Srebrenica. Of the total value of five million euros, two million have already been paid as direct budget aid, while three million provided for joint infrastructure projects.
