Agreement on telephony close - Kosovo office head

But the director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija added late on Tuesday that "some details are yet to be resolved."

An agreement on establishment of a single company that will provide services for both fixed and mobile telephony in Kosovo has been made, and Telekom Srbija will provide mobile network in the area until then, as its seized equipment will be returned, he said.

"Another round of talks is ahead for us, until final agreement is reached, but this primarily requires ensuring undisturbed work of Telekom Srbija," Djuric told journalists on Tuesday, after hours of talks with Pristina's delegation headed by Kosovo Prime Minister Edita Tahiri.

As for international dialing code for Kosovo Pristina insisted on having, Djuric said Tahiri asked Belgrade delegation that Serbia requires an area code for this geographic area from the competent international body.

"In this phase, we cannot talk about that, until we get guarantees that at the same time Telekom Srbija will be allowed coverage of mobile telephony throughout the territory of Kosovo and Metohija," he pointed out.
