Foreign minister receives U.S. ambassador

The two officials discussed continuation of political dialogue, development of bilateral relations, cooperation within international organizations, concerning in particular Serbia’s forthcoming OSCE co-chairmanship, joint efforts in dealing with security challenges across the globe and other international issues.

Dačić and Kirby agreed that continuation and improvement of the political dialogue and overall bilateral relations will benefit both countries, the Serbian MFA said.

The accession to the European Union is one of Serbia’s main foreign affairs priorities, but good relations between Belgrade and Washington are also vital, Dačić said.

Ambassador Kirby "expressed his willingness to continue the dialogue about the current international issues, particularly the crisis in Ukraine," said the statement.
