BAKU Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic met with Azerbaijani businessmen in Baku on Saturday and urged them to invest in Serbia. He added that the two countries’ friendship would be a guarantee for their investments and business operations in Serbia. "Friendship will guarantee investments" “Serbia is one big construction site today. In a short period of time we have managed to redefine development goals and foundations for their realization. We have done everything for a stable and predictable business environment in which you will find your place,” the Serbian president stressed. He and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev assessed on Friday that the two countries had good foundations for improvement of economic cooperation. According to the two presidents, the Strategic Partnership Declaration, that was signed on Friday, would help improve the cooperation. Aliyev said that Azerbaijani businessmen saw the Serbian economy as “very attractive”, adding that he hoped that the number of their investments in Serbia would increase. He noted that cooperation was especially possible in energy, infrastructure, tourism and telecommunications.
