Serbia's future PM Ivica Dacic says there is "no reason for concern" when it comes to his future cabinet, and stresses it will work to "deepen cooperation". "Beside the tasks that the government should have when it comes to EU integration, protection of national and state interests, the citizens' standard, and economic recovery, the government will certainly have a significant task of continuing the policy of good cooperation and reconciliation in the region," he said on Monday. Serbia's next PM: New cabinet is no cause for concern According to the leader of the Socialists (SPS), countries and peoples of the Balkans have much in common, and for that reason "even without initiatives coming from the outside", they must find the best way to search for common and unifying points - "rather than just for the points where their stances come to a head". Dacic also explained that it was "in this context" that he already spoke on the phone with Montenegro's prime minister and foreign minister, the chair of the Bosnian presidency and the country's foreign minister, as well as prime ministers of Macedonia and Bulgaria. He announced similar contacts with other Balkan leaders in the coming days, "with the clear intention of showing the intention for even closer cooperation and for resolving all open issues in a practical manner, but also to improve relations and build the Balkans as a region of peace and stability in Europe". Dacic also noted that he was convinced that his position on these issues was shared by his future coalition partners - SNS and URS party leaders Aleksandar Vucic and Mladjan Dinkic. The future prime minister concluded by saying that he "for that reason" wished to "reject the claims of all those who speak about some sort of concern over the possible composition of Serbia's new government", and added that it represented "a new chance to deepen cooperation between states and nations."
