Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has stated that Kosovo is being snatched by large powers and that it is obvious Serbia can no longer stop it. “It is clear how painful the Kosovo issue is,” Dodik told Belgrade-based daily Vecernje novosti. “Serbia can’t stop snatching of Kosovo” “However, Kosovo is being snatched by large powers, and it is obvious that Serbia can no longer stop it. It will all end with the deployment of Albanian police officers at Kosovo borders, who will thus mark the area snatched away from Serbia. Serbia will have two options, either to defend its territory with weapons, or give up. I would never recommend the first one, because I know how it would end,” he was quoted as saying. Pointing out that Serbia should never recognize Kosovo, Dodik said that the Serbs in Kosovo should be given a clear message, which means that the state should allocate considerable funds for the Serb community in Kosovo and provide free land across Serbia for all those who want to leave Kosovo. “That is currently the only solution. In this way, those people will have a choice. The Albanians should not be given a chance to talk about a multiethnic society,” the RS president stressed. Dodik underlined that, for as long as it exists, Serbia should allocate funds for monasteries and fight for their exterritorial status. “However, Serbia cannot reclaim and reintegrate Kosovo, that is an illusion. Kosovo has been snatched by the powerful and the arrogant, and that is it,” Dodik concluded. Milorad Dodik (Tanjug, file)
