Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi has said that Kosovo's institutions will work on gradually establishing law and order in the north of the province. He added that special police units would not operate without coordination with KFOR. Rule of law will be gradually established, Kosovo IM says Rexhepi said the coming days would see investigations, arrests of criminals and later on return of Kosovo judges to the regional court. “This will gradually introduce the rule of law in the north of Kosovo,” said Kosovo interior minister. He said that Kosovo's special police units would launch an action to catch criminals in the north but would never do it without coordination with KFOR. Rexhepi told Pristina-based TV station 21 that the agreement reached recently between the Kosovo government and KFOR was very good for Kosovo. He said that Serbs' delays in removing the barricades from northern Kosovo roads after recently reaching the agreement with the international community was a tactic of the so-called community of Serb municipalities in the north. The Kosovo interior minister said that the people at the barricades were there by force, that there were people from Serbia who had been brought there from their jobs, that some of them had been blackmailed by criminals, while some were getting money for what they were doing but added, however, that most of them would eventually return to normal life.
