Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic will visit Germany on Thursday, where he will have talks with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle. Ahead of the trip, Jeremic told B92 in Belgrade said that Germany is one of the most influential countries in Europe, and that Serbia must have a regular contact and foster good relations with it. Serbian FM Jeremic travels to Germany The foreign minister underlined that as regards the Kosovo issue, Berlin and Belgrade hold "diverging views" and that is something both sides should work on. “Serbia will not recognize Kosovo under any conditions, but it is important that in the early stages of the European process we understand each other so as to try to find a common way to resolve these differences,” he added. “Serbia has a firm, unwavering stand on the Kosovo issue, and as long as the citizens have that opinion, any democratic government will have constitutional, political, and moral duty to defend that position by any means,” Jeremic concluded.
