Serb Progressive Party (SNS) deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic has stated that the government will try to cause riots at the SNS rally on February 5. He called upon the citizens to express their dissatisfaction in a peaceful and dignified manner. Opposition party expects "unrest" at rally “We ask the people to, as much as possible, express their dissatisfaction in a peaceful and dignified manner. The government will one way or another have its people among us who will try to cause some kind of incident. We will have to prevent that together,” Vucic stressed. He explained that the organizers planned “neither Tunisian nor October 5 scenario”, adding that the number of people at the rally in front of the Serbian parliament and votes in the next elections would show their dissatisfaction. The SNS deputy leader also called upon the government to respond to the SNS’ requests regarding the sale of Telekom, election fraud in the town of Bor, murder of Ranko Panic, early parliamentary elections and media situation in a “more serious way” than Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic did. “We expect that because it would be good for Serbia and because it would show that we have a normal, and not an arrogant government that only cares about its own interests,” Vucic said and added that the government was “heating up” the atmosphere ahead of the rally. He also stressed that he expected “the dirtiest possible campaign” from the government. Aleksandar Vucic addresses reporters at a press conference (Tanjug)
