Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic said that the report of Serge Brammertz will be the basis for a decision on the ratification of the SAA. He reminded that a complete consensus by all EU member-states would be needed for every one of Serbia’s coming steps that needs to be taken on its path towards European integration. “Report to be basis for ratification” Djelic said that he expects that Hague Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz’s report will be positive and allow the ratification process of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between Serbia and the EU to begin. Brammertz’s new report on Serbia’s cooperation with the Tribunal, which B92 has seen, is expected to recommend a new strategy for arresting the remaining war crimes fugitives Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic.
