President Boris Tadic met with Hungarian Assembly Speaker Bela Katona. Tadic said that he supported the Hungarian law for giving minorities in Hungary representatives in the assembly. Tadic meets with Hungarian speaker Tadic and Katona talked about bilateral relations between the two countries and the European integration of Serbia. They said that relations are good, though both officials said that they expect stronger political, economic and cultural cooperation in the future. Tadic said that the state institutions have excellent cooperation with the National Council of the Hungarian National Minority, according to his press service. He also thanked Hungary for its strong support on Serbia’s road towards Euro-Atlantic integrations. Katona also met with his Serbian counterpart Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, who announced that the agricultural, ecological, and energy committees of the Serbian and Hungarian assemblies would increase cooperation soon.
