OSCE Mission in Pristina and Kosovo Albanian authorities have ruled out the possibility that this organization will organize the local elections. Albanian language media in Pristina report today that this is a reaction to Belgrade's request that the local polls, scheduled for November, be organized by OSCE rather than Kosovo Albanian authorities. OSCE not organizing Kosovo elections The mission's spokeswoman Edita Bucaj said that this organization no longer has such a mandate. "The role of the OSCE has changed. It now has an advisory role and offers technical help to the central electoral commission," she said. Previously, official Belgrade called on Serbs in Kosovo not to take part in the fall elections.
