President Boris Tadic says the government’s measures are giving results and that the country will "most likely" have macro-economic stability for the next year. Tadic told a B92 TV talk show on Sunday night that he will fight for preserving “productive jobs” and that those who are in the labor surplus of the state administration will be made redundant. Tadic: Economic measures giving results He said that protests by workers and strikes could result from the economic crisis. This form of showing dissatisfaction is democratic heritage, but only if it happens in a peaceful way while respecting the law, the president said. “Responsible behavior is people publicly stating their opinions. They have the right, if they need to, to say this and protest—in a peaceful way, a democratic way—and at the same time, to compete for a new job right away,” Tadic said. “But, on the other side, we have to do something for ourselves. Let’s improve something about ourselves. You cannot become something if you do not learn anything, conquer a new craft, gain new knowledge,” said he.
