Foreign Ministry officials will meet today in Belgrade to discuss strategies and the formation of a new council. Government and non-government experts in the field of international relations will attend the meeting. Foreign Ministry to select new council With the announcement of the formation of a new council, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said last week that the main goal would be to gather people with international experience and knowledge in one place to discuss new foreign policy strategies. The experts would “with their advice, be able to assist in the successful creation and implementation of Serbia’s foreign policy priorities in accordance with the criteria of the current situation,” Vuk Jeremic said. According to him the council will include, among others, former foreign ministers Goran Svilanovic and Vuk Draskovic, President of the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence Sonja Liht, Political Science Professor Ivo Viskovic, Professor Svetozar Stojanovic, former adviser to the prime minister and ambassador to London Vladeta Jankovic, and former presidential adviser Trivo Indjic.
