Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic says the Serbia is "absolutely committed" to wrapping up cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. "The government's political devotion to solving this question is not being questioned," Jeremic told a news conference held in the government building, where he presented the his ministry's results after 100 days in office, Beta news agency reported. "Serbia resolved to solve Hague issue" Jeremic announced that a Council for Foreign Policy will be created this week and invited seasoned diplomatic experts to apply for positions in the council, including former foreign ministers Goran Svilanovic and Vuk Draskovic. The minister said that the government had instituted a procedure for appointing new ambassadors and voiced hope that the process would be concluded quickly, once the required accreditation papers arrived. The Foreign Ministry's biggest successes after 100 days in office, said Jeremic, were "securing political support for speedy European integration" and the continuation of accession talks with the EU after a year's suspension. Jeremic said that"by means of strong diplomatic efforts", the government had succeeded in opening a new round of negotiations on Kosovo status, that it "bolstered Serbia's international image", while he himself had visited over 20 nations and met with 30 foreign ministers, and over 100 other officials both at home and abroad. Jeremic announced that Serbia's Presentation Document will be shown in Brussels on September 5, a prerequisite for Serbia's participation in the NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) program.
