According to her, the province’s government will prepare a progress report to be distributed to the UN mission, the mandate of which has not yet been specified.

The fact-finding mission is set to be formed at Russia’s request to the UN Security Council. Russia proposed the mission’s jurisdiction to extend to determining the implementation of the standards and the UN Resolution 1244.

“Only those who wish to destabilize and lunatics”

Kosovo’s president Fatmir Sejdiu told journalist after his meeting with KFOR chief Lt. Gen. Roland Kather Tuesday that “only those who wish to destabilize Kosovo and lunatics” could deteriorate the security situation in the province.

“KFOR will remain the most important security factor, helping the people of Kosovo, without excluding other areas that provide stability in the region and at home,” Sejdiu said after the meeting.

Sejdiu also said the overall security situation in the province was satisfactory.
