Valley Albanians back Kosovo plan

“Ahtisaari’s plan is good not only for the Albanians but also for the Serbs living in Kosovo, as it provides the minorities with rights greater than those envisaged by the EU standards. It makes no sense that the Serbs living in Kosovo should have more rights than the Albanians living in the Preševo Valley,” Democratic Party of Albanians leader and Preševo municipal president Ragmi Mustafa told journalists.

Mustafa added he believed the security situation in Bujanovac and Preševo was unlikely to worsen.

“The times of armed conflicts are behind us, we can now solve problems politically working with the democratic forces in Serbia,” Mustafa concluded.
